Mound Hosts First Customer Event
Mound Printing hosted its first customer event on March 11th and 12th to help educate current clients on Mound’s capabilities and to highlight its expansion into variable direct marketing. Utilizing leading edge Integrated Direct Marketing technologies, Mound Printing invited guests to attend the Mound Digital Picnic, an in-house workshop focused around the power and benefits of 1:1 and integrated marketing solutions.
With an astounding 30% response, Mound presented to 100 guests over two days. Guests were invited to make their reservation via a personalized website where they were asked survey questions as part of the reservation process. This data was then collected and analyzed to gear the topics of discussion that were presented during the workshop. About a week before the event, attendees were reminded about the event and invited to visit another personalized site to place a lunch order. To further emphasize the power of personalization, each attendee was presented with a personalized box lunch made to order when they arrived.
The Mound Digital Picnic’s banner success caught the attention of Xerox and the developer responsible for the integrated direct marketing technology. Both of which have made the Mound Digital Picnic into national case studies. Company Vice President, Dennis Riggs, was also invited to be a guest speaker on a national conference call to discuss the success of integrated direct marketing and best practices with other marketing service providers considering similar technologies.
